How to Renew State Sales Tax Permits
With the New Year comes sales tax permit renewals. Several states, including Alabama and Arizona, require renewal on an annual basis. In most cases, states will mail renewal notices during the 4th quarter, showing that the renewal is due on January 1st.
Below is a list of states that require renewals. Some permits are automatically renewed and do not require any action on the part of the sellers. Manual renewals can typically be completed online, and fees is sometimes required.
