 he Upstate South Carolina practice of Cherry, Bekaert & Holland consists of offices in Greenville and Spartanburg. These CB&H offices are located in the largest Metropolitan Statistical Area in South Carolina.
The industrial sector drives the Greenville-Spartanburg area with textile, automotive and other diversified manufacturing firms. Recently, the wholesale/retail trade sectors have been leaders in the areas of capital expansion and employment.
The Upstate area has the highest per capita level of capital
foreign investment in the nation with more than 200 international
firms from over 20 different countries. Through this expansion,
the Greenville-Spartanburg area has come to be recognized
as a leading business, high-tech, manufacturing and engineering
center in the Southeast.
Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. began serving the Upstate
market more than 15 years ago in our Spartanburg location.
We expanded our presence with our Greenville location
in 1990 to build one of the preeminent CPA practices in Upstate South Carolina.
Currently, five partners and a highly trained and motivated professional staff
serve a growing base of manufacturing/distribution, real estate and construction,
not-for-profit, government, professional services, and individual clients.

Lowcountry South Carolina practice unit consists of two
locations in Beaufort County – Hilton Head Island and
Beaufort. Beaufort County is one of the fastest growing
counties in South Carolina, stretching 30 miles along
the Atlantic Ocean on its eastern side. This 587 square
mile area includes 64 major islands and thousands of small
islands in the state’s southeastern corner.
Tourism and real estate drive the local economy. With
over 2.5 million annual visitors to the area, tourism
and associated service sectors, including lodging, retail
and transportation, are the county's leading employers.
Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. has had a market presence
in Beaufort County for over 40 years, with the Beaufort
location as one of its earliest branch offices. The Hilton
Head Island office was established in 1975 and, combined
with Beaufort, provides a thriving practice unit in Lowcountry
South Carolina for CB&H. This local practice group includes
two partners and a highly professional accounting, tax
and consulting staff that serves a diverse and successful
client base of governmental agencies, not-for-profit organizations,
real estate companies, hospitality and service-oriented
